How Hot is Sub-Surface West Kootenays?

If this question weighs on your mind from time to time you are in luck.  Below is a simple map made from borehole temperature data from the 1970’s.  It would be nice if there were more borehole’s drilled in the region, along with more consistency in drilling depth and intervals of temperature measurements, however this was a government funded program which was cancelled in the 1980’s.  My map is a work in progress with the locations of all the naturally occurring hot springs in the region to be added.  You can anxiously anticipate this exciting update.
